Registration for the Skechers Mumbai Walkathon 2022 ("Event") will be done online through the link https://www.skecherswalkathon.in/ on first come first serve basis. Offline registration will not be accepted at any point of time.
Last date for registration is 15th Sept 2022, beyond which no registration will be entertained. Spot registration is not allowed.
Multiple applicants can apply for the Event using a single form and the details of each such applicants should be mentioned in the application form as per the government approved identity proof (PAN/Aadhaar etc.).
The registration can be secured upon full payment of the participation fees for the respective categories. The payment mode of the participation fees can be made as per options available on the website https://www.skecherswalkathon.in/. The participation fees are inclusive of all taxes.
Participants who are successfully registered can cancel their registration on or before 15th September 2022 and get refund of participation fees, subject to deduction of cancellation charges amounting to Rs. 50/- across all categories. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days from the date of cancellation. All refunds shall be processed to the same mode from which the payment is received. However, participant(s) is/are not eligible for refund in case of the participant(s) cancel(s) the registration post 15th September 2022.
The confirmed registrations are non-transferable and cannot be modified at any point of time.
The organizer reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reasons.
Cash prize received by winners shall be subject to applicable deduction, if applicable, under applicable law.
The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant and/or nullify his or her result if there is any violation of the terms and conditions on the part of participant during this event.
It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that he/she is physically and mentally fit to participate in the Event.
Participants acknowledge that there are risks involved in walking on roads, contact with other participants, effects of the weather including high heat or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, arson or terrorist threats and all other risks associated with a public event, notwithstanding the adequacy or otherwise of arrangements for traffic control, medical and other services made available by Event organizers, their representatives and/or public authorities, the risks associated in the Event are fully assumed by participants and Skechers shall not be liable for the same..
Participants confirm that he/she is aware of the inherent risks of participating in the Event including fatigue (mental or physical), trauma (mental or physical), bodily injury, death or damage to property.
Participants are required to follow the instructions given by the organizer and race officials on the Event day. The organizer reserves the right to remove any participant from the event who refuse to follow instructions of the race officials during the event.
Participants are required to observe highest standards of conduct at all the times. Using bad language, physical violence, threats or any misconduct during participation in the Event is strictly prohibited. Skechers reserves the right to initiate appropriate action including disqualification from the Event.
All participants are prohibited from bringing or using tobacco products, alcohol and drugs of any kind during the Event.
Participants grant the organiser an irrevocable right to publish pictures and image material etc., recorded/clicked during or around the time of the Event, in which the Participant is visible for the purpose of promotion or marketing without any consideration.
Participants acknowledge and agree that his/her personal information can be stored and used by the company or any other company in connection with the organization, promotion and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information.
The rights and benefits available to the participant under this Event are at the sole discretion of the organizer/Skechers and cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances. The participant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising out of such confirmation of participation.
Participants hereby agree and declare that he/she is in good health and have no physical condition that would endanger his/her life while participating in the Event. It shall be the responsibility of the participants to obtain appropriate medical advice to ensure that there are no health risks involved in participation for the Event. Company and/or its vendors, contractors, sponsors or any stakeholder directly or indirectly connected to the said Event, will not be held liable for any bodily harm, injury, accidents or death or for any loss of or damage to personal property arising from participating in the Event.
The company reserves the right to amend/withdraw/terminate/cancel any part of/or the entire Event.
The Chief Judge of timed walking categories shall have all the powers to make the final decision. The decision of the Chief Judge shall be final and binding on all the participants. All the judges & competitive walk officials will act in an individual capacity and their judgments will be based on observations made by them. Participants shall be liable to abide by it without any protest.
Participants shall indemnify the Company and/or its vendors, contractors, etc., against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses and expenses incurred by the Company, its vendors, contractors due to any claim or action initiated by such person(s) against the Company, its vendors, contractors, etc due to any acts attributable to the Participants.
Participants hereby authorize the Event organizers and the medical support team to administer any such medical assistance and treatment to the participants as is deemed necessary in the circumstances during the Event. Participants acknowledge that there may be circumstances where he/she may need to be transported to a third party facility such as a hospital or a nursing home for treatment and participants hereby authorize the Event organizers and the medical support team to shift to such a facility for all treatments that may be required in such circumstances. Participants agree and undertake to pay all the costs of medical treatment, including transportation to any third-party facilities. Participants further acknowledge that the medical support provided by the Event organizers and the medical support team is being provided in good faith, and participants shall assume all the risks of any such treatment being provided and waive all claims that might result on account of any medical treatment or transportation provided.
Baggage facility is available at the venue. However, it is advisable to not carry any valuable items along with you. Responsibility of the baggage is at the owner's risk and Company will not be held responsible for any damage, theft or loss of baggage.
Parking will be available at owner's risk. "First come, first serve basis".
Participants confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force majeure or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone/alter the Event. No claims shall be referred to the Event organiser/Skechers in this regard. Skecher's decision in this regard shall be final.
Company reserves the right to alter any of the terms and conditions as mentioned herein at its sole discretion without any recourse to the participants or any third parties.
All disputes relating to the Event are restricted to Mumbai jurisdiction
*All pandemic protocols are to be followed at the BIB collection and the main event. Please show a copy of your second COVID vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR report dated under 48 hours to collect your BIB kit.
